Black Trans Leadership Austin (BTLA; a community group of queer and trans black activists in Austin) partnered with Out Youth (an LGBTQ+ supporting non-profit) and researchers from the University of Texas at Austin to complete a community health needs assessment survey of Black and Brown transgender residents of Central Texas. This virtual presentation aims to share insights from the survey as well as calls to action so the medical, mental health, and social services sectors can seek to improve the lives of Queer, Trans, and Gender Diverse people of color (QTBIPOC).
